Mighty Wings of Zion 45 - You Don't Know How the Lord Has Blessed Me. This 1980s local Boston gospel 45 is a slow, powerful 6/8 ballad. If the lyrics were secular it would pass for deep soul. Listen. The flip is midtempo, also with a powerful lead vocal. Price is $25.

From 1985, this is a "We Are the World" type soul ballad. Each of about 25 artists sings a line or 2, extensive notes on the cover tell you exactly who is singing what. Though packaged as a Doowop item, it's slow and soulful. The singers include: JD Bryant (who gets about 4 times as much mike time as anyone else--and deservedly so), Baby Washington, JR Bailey, Eugene Pitt, Arlene Smith, Willie Winfield, Richard Blandon, and many others. Total playing time is 11 minutes. Still sealed.
